Frequently asked questions

The most common questions about our services, methods, confidentiality and process.

Company

Is Dedektif Go licensed?

Since we understand there is no separate professional law for private detectives in Turkey, we demonstrate competence through method, reporting and transparency.

Do you work in other cities?

Yes. We are based in Ankara and run planned fieldwork in all 81 provinces. See the city pages.

Is the initial call paid?

No. The initial call and scope assessment are free.

How do we hold the call?

By phone, WhatsApp, video or in person. If your situation is sensitive, do not contact us from the environment or devices you suspect.

Could my information be disclosed in court?

Only where legally required and necessary for your case. In that situation we speak with you and your lawyer first.

Do you take an advance?

The payment plan is written in the quote. It is usually structured as a partial payment at the start and the balance at handover.

Do you issue invoices?

Yes, an official invoice is issued.

Family and spouse investigations

Is it legal to have my spouse followed?

Observation in public places is not an offence in itself, but wiretapping, reading messages, entering a home or tracking by GPS without permission is. We settle the frame for your specific situation before work begins.

Is the outcome guaranteed?

No. What we guarantee is lawful method, confidentiality and accurate reporting. The outcome depends on what is observed.

Could my information reach my spouse?

No. A confidentiality agreement is signed and communication runs on a secure channel.

How many days of observation are needed?

It depends on your spouse's routine and the suspect period; most cases are planned for a few days to a few weeks. The scope is written in the quote.

Could my spouse notice the surveillance?

The team aims to stay unnoticed, but the risk is never zero; if it rises we pause and consult you.

Will you look at their phone or messages?

No. These methods are offences and can invalidate the evidence.

What if no infidelity is found?

We report that too. A suspicion not being confirmed lets you decide with clear knowledge.

Can you work without my lawyer?

We can, but for the evidence to be usable in court we strongly recommend lawyer coordination. We can also guide you in finding a lawyer.

Locating people

Can you definitely find a person?

We cannot guarantee it; some people leave no traceable trail. Findability depends on the information you hold and the person's digital and physical trail. We assess the likelihood honestly in the first call.

Will you give me the address?

We verify your entitlement; in cases with a risk to life or safety we do not share the address directly. It is used through the court or your lawyer.

What if the person does not want contact?

We respect the decision and do not share the information.

Can you find an heir abroad?

We research depending on the country and the information held; difficulty and time vary. We assess the likelihood in the first call.

Do you collect the debt?

No. We only trace addresses and information.

Can I come to you before the police?

We recommend going to the police first; the official process should not be delayed.

Can I learn my child's address?

Your entitlement must be documented and there must be no safety risk to the child. The address is used through the court or your lawyer and is not given directly to you.

Can you take the child back?

No. We never take a child by force under any circumstances; it is an offence and harms the child.

TSCM · Technical surveillance countermeasures

How can I tell I might be bugged?

Signs are not proof, but private conversations becoming known to the other side, an unfamiliar device in a vehicle or moved items in a room are reasons for suspicion. You can do the check on the signs page; a definite answer needs measurement.

How long does a sweep take?

It depends on the size and complexity of the space. A small room and a multi-floor office are not swept in the same time. The duration is written in the discovery call and quote.

If nothing is found, is everything safe?

A sweep shows the situation at the time. Finding nothing is a good result, but because a device can be placed later we recommend periodic sweeps for sensitive environments.

What happens if a device is found?

The device is not moved; it is photographed and recorded. We then settle with you and your lawyer what to do for a criminal complaint and evidence preservation.

Is a sweep legal?

Yes. TSCM is about finding devices, not installing them or listening. We only sweep on your property and at your request.

Can staff be in the room during the sweep?

No. For confidentiality the room should be empty during the sweep. Besides the sweep team only an authorised person is present.

Can it be done during working hours?

Preferably outside working hours or when the room is unused; we plan it together.

Can I have a rented home swept?

Yes; we sweep only the part you occupy. If your suspicion concerns the landlord we settle the method with your lawyer.

Corporate investigations

Is it legal to monitor my employee?

There are legal limits. Using cameras and recordings for workplace security requires notice and proportionality, and private life cannot be intruded on. We settle the scope with your legal counsel in each case.

Can the report be used in court?

Findings gathered by lawful methods can be submitted for evidential assessment, but admission and weight are for the court. No result is guaranteed.

Will employees know?

That depends on the type of inquiry. We work under a confidentiality agreement and only with authorised people.

Is it done for every candidate?

We do not advise it. Under the proportionality principle it suits only critical roles.

Should I question the suspect directly?

We do not advise it. Confronting before evidence is gathered can lead to evidence being destroyed and to legal risk.

Will you give a definite answer to who leaked?

Only if there are enough facts. Otherwise we narrow the channel and clearly state the possibilities and gaps.

Do you also investigate financial standing?

Only public and lawfully accessible information. Confidential data such as bank details is not included.

Can you find the bank account?

No. Bank information is protected and is queried only through the enforcement office and courts.

Digital investigations

Can you get into someone's private account?

No. Unauthorised access to another's account is an offence; we do not do it and we do not accept requests for it.

Can you find the owner of a fake social media account?

Open-source traces can yield clues, but definite identification through platform records is made only via prosecutors and courts. We help you prepare the process.

What should I do before deleting my messages?

Delete nothing; take screenshots and see digital evidence preservation.

Do you look at private accounts?

No; only publicly visible content is reviewed.

Can you find the harasser?

Open-source clues are sometimes found but definite identification is made with the competent authorities. We do not give guarantees.

Can I get my money back?

We cannot promise that. Quick reporting and legal application may improve the chances; the outcome depends on the authorities and the concrete case.

Do you recover deleted data from my device?

That is a separate digital forensics job and no result is guaranteed. We assess options for your own device and refer to a specialist lab if needed.

Evidence and legal support

Will the court accept your report?

The court weighs all evidence. We prepare an orderly, verifiable file by lawful methods; acceptance and weight are for the court.

How long do you keep the evidence?

For the period in the agreement, encrypted, then we destroy it or hand it to you.

Will the court reimburse the investigator's fee?

This depends on the nature of the case and the court's discretion; ask your lawyer.

Ankara and cities

Which Ankara districts do you serve?

All districts. We dispatch quickly in central districts; work in outer districts is planned.

Do I need to come to your office?

No. The first discussion is by phone, WhatsApp or email; a safe place is arranged for an in-person meeting if needed.

How is the price set?

By scope, duration, team and expenses; a written quote follows the first call. See the pricing page.

Do you follow beyond Ankara?

Intercity travel is possible within the plan; travel and accommodation expenses are stated separately in the quote.

Is it accepted as evidence of infidelity?

That depends on the court's assessment and the specific case. Factual records lawfully obtained can be submitted; no result is guaranteed.

Do you come the same day in Ankara?

It depends on team availability; we try to plan same-day where possible, but do not commit to an hour.

Is a sweep done without a contract?

A written agreement for confidentiality and scope is made for every job.

Can you find an address from a name alone?

Sometimes it is possible but it is not guaranteed. Extra information you hold (old address, birthplace, relatives, workplace) improves the chances.

Let's talk first. A confidential, free initial call.

Tell us your situation and we will define the lawful route together. Your details are not shared with third parties.
