Office and meeting room bug sweep

Secure the room where your trade secrets are discussed, by measurement, before an important meeting.

Important note — Do not call or write to us from the space or devices you suspect. Use a different phone and location, and do not talk about your suspicion in that space before the sweep. If you find a suspect device, do not touch or move it.

What is searched for in offices?

Meeting tables, ceiling panels, light fittings, sockets and power strips, projectors and phone sets, air-conditioning vents, wall clocks or pictures, and recently left gifts or objects are examined. The conference system, IP phones and network devices in use are also checked.

An acoustic leakage test is also suggested to measure whether speech passes to the next room or corridor.

When should you sweep?

Before a commercial negotiation, merger or acquisition talks, a board meeting, after staff changes, building works or an office move, and whenever there is a sign that secrets are leaking. For institutions under constant risk, a periodic sweep is suitable.

How we work

  1. Confidential initial call

We talk on a secure channel away from the space and devices you suspect. We listen to what, where and why you suspect, and define the scope.

  2. Appointment and security

The sweep date is discussed only with the people who need to know and away from the space to be swept. No sensitive talk takes place in the space beforehand.

  3. Physical inspection

The space and its items are inspected visually: sockets, ceiling, lighting, electronics, furniture and newly added objects.

  4. Technical sweep

Devices are searched for with RF spectrum analysis, NLJD, thermal imaging, optical lens detection and line/network analysis.

  5. Findings and evidence preservation

If a suspect device is found it is not moved; it is photographed and its position and technical measurements recorded. The next step is decided with you and your lawyer.

  6. Report and recommendations

Method, equipment, findings, risks and corrective recommendations are delivered as a written report.
